BBP 2009

It was an awesome weekend and so far is the best party ever. The party was held from 29th till 31st August 2009. We meet up at Bar Celona on Saturday night to party, and then we head on straight to PD for a BBQ dinner on Sunday night.

So, let’s go into details, we meet up around 1030PM at the entrance of Bar Celona, everyone was there on time except me, well, I’m the star of the night so I thought it would be normal for me to be late. Honestly I am always late for everything ☺. Anyway, I had to fetch Alan, Kiki, Cassandra and supposedly Michelle too, but Michelle last minute had to support in the system, some complicated stuff that I can never understand it. So, Michelle had to stay home and work while the twin sister was out with us partying. I feel bad though.

We arrived about 40mins later, Calvin Khor (my sound supplier), Cat, Eugene Foo, Cynthia, Joanne, Ben11, Melz, Edwin, Kelly, Ban, Ben22, Leslie, Derek, they were all there already waiting for me. Without any further delay, we went straight up to the club and manager Mahes took out our bottles, laid on the table we started pouring drinks. Everyone had fun, drinking, dancing and taking tons of photos. Somehow, I have no idea who started with taking off my shirt and there we go, we walk around and take off guys’ shirt, only to friends of ours.

Sharp at 12 midnight, DJ Jeff, in-house DJ for Bar-C, he took the microphone and started his birthday dedications to me, everyone cheered and out of nowhere a piece of cake showed up right in front of me, candle was lit, and everyone started singing birthday song. I made a wish and blew the candle off. At that time, I didn’t know what was going to happen, the fact was, there were hands all over my head getting ready to push my face onto the cake. Well, it did happen, I had cake on my face, I couldn’t breathe at all; I had to eat the cake so that I can breathe thru my mouth, and the cake taste well. Green tea was the flavor claimed Joanne.

So the party carried on, at the of the night, they had buckets of water splashing on me, including coke, whiskies, beer, juices, and even soap water that was suppose to wash the glasses, thanks to Eugene, gosh, it hurts my eyes badly, and oh yeah, one more thanks to Joanne, she had a bucket of ice water, freaking cold ice water with ice cubes down my ass, someone from the back pulled my underwear wide open and Joanne poured it in. Freaking cold!!!

Immediately after the party, we head straight to MCD @ Cheras for supper, but that time I felt like as if I was going to fall sick already, so I just rest in the car while the rest enjoyed their burger and fries. Sharp 6am, Alan came woke me up, it was time to meet with the other convoy team members at another MCD. So we head straight to Sg Besi Toll to meet up. Lead car was Ben11, followed by Kenneth22, Fai, Eugene, Ben22, and Alan, then me. The whole convoy was fun, Eugene keeps on driving on a different lane, trying to be “hot car”, meanwhile ben11 was struggling coz all the cars behind him was bigger in terms of capacity, yet we still manage to travel 140kph all the way.

Once we took the exit at Seremban, I took over the lead because I wanted to take the corners at the trunk road to PD and Ben11 wasn’t sure about the way. On the other hand they get to save some toll money too. Taking the corners were a bit hard, due to lack of practice nowadays, and the weight distribution of my car was a bit off, if I were alone and no stuff loaded in the trunk, I believe it would be fun tackling the corners!!

It was raining all the way from Membau town to PD and Lukut was the worst. After traveling for about an hour or so, we finally have reached our destination, Ocean View. We parked our cars nicely and everyone started to unload stuff, they just can’t wait any more longer to get some sleep. At that time, I was far awake, I dun feel sleepy at all, and I’m so excited. So we went up to the apartment where Joey and Kenneth11 were there a day earlier to clean up the apartment. After washing up, some of us drove out for breakfast, we were hunting for famous nasi lemak but the stall was closed due to fasting month for the Malays. In the end we had to eat wan tan mee, tasteless wan tan mee and being charged sky high for the drinks, it was more expensive than KL.

After breakfast we got back to the apartment and started playing cards while others were resting. After few rounds of card game, we decided to do a quick recee on the beach that we are supposed to have our BBQ. The place looks all right, nothing to shout about, but the wind blowing from the sea was nice. After the recee, Kenneth11 went for a swim, while I went for a short suntan.

About an hour later, one by one woke up from their beauty sleep and we were planning on lunch. I was thinking of bringing everyone to have this famous duck rice in Lukut, upon arrival we found out that it’s closed. So we end up eating Bak Kut Teh. The soup was nice, but the meat wasn’t very great, and everything is self-service, including of getting our own utensils.

After lunch, I brought them to the Chendol in town, but again, it was close, then from there I lost track where I went, because I was too sleepy to drive so Alan took over the wheels. I know we went to Eagle Ranch for a drink, the rest of the guys were enjoying the pool game and foosball table. We then drove to another seaside for recee, but we guess that it is going to be dark and it isn’t really convenient for us to BBQ there, such as no water, no lights, etc etc. plus our dear friend Sunder met his good pal there, orang asli. Since safety is always first, we decided on the initial venue that we thought of. Upon confirmation, we delegate jobs and task, and within an hour, the pit was ready and everyone was starting to BBQ. There were some other invited guests to the BBQ party, including Tjun Hong, Leticia, Puei Ee, Shirlyn, Albert, Eunice, and Jooey. We had our very own game master, Alan and Shirlyn were conducting icy fingers until I started playing with water. The best part was almost everyone got wet. It was my payback time for getting me wet on Saturday night.

Initially after the party we wanted to play card games in the apartment, while waiting for Eugene, Joanne, and Edwin to get more mixers, one by one slowly fell asleep after their shower and by the time they return, everyone was asleep including me. The next morning we woke up at 1030am, and we cooked the balance sausages from BBQ as breakfast and lunch. They then carry on with the card games until I lure Alan in so that we could take off his pants and we did.

At about 330PM, we went to the basketball court to have a friendly game follow by beach soccer. My basketball team was losing badly, but in beach soccer, although we were winning but Kenneth had 2 own goals. In the end, we all had fun to the max, after shower and cleaning the apartment, we left for dinner.

We went to this nearby seafood restaurant, not too expensive, the food was rather normal, as in I’d give a 5 out of 10 if I were to rate the restaurant. After dinner, we head straight back to KL, this round convoy was in a smaller scale because some of the car went off earlier before dinner. The traffic wasn’t that smooth, it was moving slowly and we had to follow slowly from the back. Couldn’t enjoy much from the convoy. However we are planning another round of convoy already, probably after the Chinese lunar calendar of the 7th month.
